A&O Shearman‘s real estate team has a depth of expertise that allows the firm to provide advice to clients on matters ranging from acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, and financings, to ground and space leasing transactions. The practice has experience handling transactions in all major asset classes including office, retail, and hospitality properties, as well as emerging areas such as energy and data centers. The team is led by Lisa Brill, global co-head of the real estate practice, based in New York; she has significant experience in commercial real estate transactions, often representing lenders in various financing transactions. Further expertise is brought to the team by Adam Sofen, with a focus on REITs and developers, and Carolyn Stoner, who often advises public and private companies; both are located in the New York office.
