Career

Damien Tancredi focuses his practice on all aspects of a distressed debtor creditor relationship from out of court workouts, debt restructuring, Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 corporate bankruptcy, and non-bankruptcy restructurings such as dissolutions, assignments for the benefit of creditors, and Article 9 foreclosures.

Damien's clients include traditional and Subchapter V bankruptcy debtors, court appointed trustees, commercial landlords, business owners, and vendors. The scope of Damien's engagements have included traditional debtor reorganization, sales through bankruptcy, creditor and landlord representation, bankruptcy asset purchasers, and plaintiffs and defendants in a breadth of adversary proceedings. Damien's primary geographic focus is matters within Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, but he has participated in bankruptcy proceedings throughout the country. Damien's client representations are industry agnostic and have involved stakeholders in a wide-ranging array of industries.

In addition to his restructuring practice, Damien maintains a robust litigation practice, which includes matters in both federal and state appellate and trial courts and address myriad issues. Primarily his litigation practice involves complex creditor and corporate-related issues such as fraudulent transfers, veil piercing, and alter-ego claims. In addition, Damien regularly advises clients and litigates corporate, contract, real estate, and trust and estate disputes. Damien has litigated matters across the country and frequently appears in federal and state courts, as well as arbitration and mediation matters. He has handled and is currently handling matters both on behalf of the plaintiff or defendant.

Early in his career, Damien worked as a student law clerk for the Delaware Supreme Court, completed a clerkship at the Delaware Superior Court, and served as an associate restructuring attorney at the Wilmington office of a national law firm headquartered in Philadelphia.
