Michael Bowe has more than 34 years of experience litigating high-stakes disputes for both plaintiffs and defendants at trial and on appeal. A founding partner of Brithem LLP, Mike is known for turning complex matters into clear, compelling stories, often developing novel solutions where others see none. Recognized for his fearless advocacy, his work includes the pursuit of hedge fund titan Steve Cohen and groundbreaking litigation involving child sexual abuse and human trafficking claims against MindGeek (now Aylo), Visa, and related financiers. A trusted crisis manager, he has guided companies and high-net-worth individuals through significant legal risk and is widely recognized by clients, peers, and the media as an elite trial lawyer.

Mike’s practice spans civil RICO, complex commercial litigation, real estate disputes, and criminal and regulatory defense. His work has drawn significant media attention, including his representation of over 200 victims of child pornography, rape, and trafficking in Fleites v. MindGeek—a landmark case against the largest online porn company, Visa, and several hedge funds. For Fairfax Financial Holdings, he responded to a short-selling attack by three of Wall Street’s most powerful hedge funds with a civil RICO lawsuit credited with saving the company and restoring $2 billion in investor value. And at trial for the Pershing Square Foundation, he secured a jury verdict for millions in withheld insurance coverage.
