Greenberg Traurig‘s energy regulation team draws on broad expertise across generation, transmission, distributed resources, and utility regulation, to assist its client base of power producers, storage providers, investors, and financial institutions. The team includes members with regulatory agency experience, and is well versed in representation before FERC and the DOE. Coordinating the practice are a trio of lawyers across three of the firm’s US offices: William Garner in Houston has focused his practice on electricity matters for over three decades, seeing investors and renewable power developers through FERC and state utility commission regulatory issues; Kenneth Minesinger in Washington DC; and Iskender Catto in New York. Gregory Lawrence in Boston is an additional key partner, along with the chair of the Albany office’s energy practice, Doreen Saia. Boston-based John DeTore is a well-known figure in the electric power space in New England.

  • 'One in particular is about as bright and perceptive as any outside lawyer I work with. John DeTore and David Fixler both deserve mention. They have both been attentive to our issues over the past few years and have found creative ways to pursue our objectives.'
