Based primarily from its Washington DC office, Linklaters LLP‘s main focus in the securities litigation field is defending senior executives at public companies across a range of alleged securities fraud violations. Many of these are government initiated civil and/or criminal investigations/enforcement actions, where the firm is particularly well-placed to advise, in part due to the preponderance of former government agency officials among its ranks. Formerly at the DOJ, team head Adam Lurie is particularly skilled at advising on white-collar-related securities matters, including defending senior executives against insider trading charges. Ex-SEC lawyer Doug Davison is also a key member of the team, regularly working alongside Lurie when there is an SEC-initiated component.

The government actions allege that Mr. Bond-Nelson, together with others, engaged in certain fraudulent and deceptive conduct in connection with the offer, purchase and sale of Structured Alpha funds.
The firm represents Dr. Nader Pourhassan, the former CEO of a publicly traded biotechnology company, CytoDyn, Inc, in both civil and criminal actions brought by the SEC and the DOJ in the District of Maryland. The respective actions are related to allegations of securities fraud and insider trading during Dr. Pourhassan’s tenure as CEO at CytoDyn.
Represent Ramkumar Rayapureddy, former Chief Information Officer of Viatris, Inc., formerly known as Mylan, Inc., a publicly-listed global pharmaceutical company headquartered in the U.S. On November 10, 2022, the DOJ unsealed an indictment against Mr. Rayapureddy in the Western District of Pennsylvania, charging him with one count of conspiracy to commit securities fraud and three counts of securities fraud for his alleged role in an insider trading scheme involving the securities of Mylan.
