He is defending P&G in a nationwide ‘greenwashing’ class action suit concerning allegations that they misled consumers about their Charmin brand of toilet paper and its compliance with environmental practices. Additionally, he is advising Special Master Robert B. Pincus on the court-supervised sale of PDV Holding, parent company of CITGO, navigating international issues including sanctions and the concerns of judgment creditors.

Career

David Lender is Co-Chair of Weil’s global Litigation Department, a member of the Firm’s Management Committee, and a Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. He has over 30 years of experience litigating and trying bet-the-company complex commercial disputes in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration proceedings. David focuses on antitrust, class action, consumer fraud, contract, patent, and IP matters, among others. He has tried more than 30 cases to verdict as first chair, and serves as primary and longstanding outside counsel to a wide range of industry-leading companies, including BASF, eBay, ExxonMobil, GlobalFoundries, GrubHub, and GoodRx. He is regularly recognized as a preeminent trial lawyer and litigator by leading industry publications, and is a recognized expert, author and frequent lecturer on electronic discovery issues.
