Contract and fiduciary duty disputes, environmental and public nuisance claims, and high-stakes energy sector incidents sit at the heart of O'Melveny’s litigation and investigations group. The practice is co-led by Pamela Miller in New York and Steven Olson in Los Angeles: Miller is best known for guiding banks and other institutions through fraud and bankruptcy-related disputes, while Olson’s specialty is advising boards and executives on white-collar defense and corporate investigations. In Los Angeles, firm chair and co-leader of the trial practice Daniel Petrocelli regularly acts for marquee entertainment and media clients in commercial and antitrust fights. From Texas, Denise Scofield, Kristin Cope, and Tim Durst bring extensive experience in bet-the-company energy and commercial disputes. Leah Godesky, who splits her time between LA and New York, is an expert in major government-facing disputes. In Washington DC, Meaghan VerGow, co-chair of the securities litigation and financial services practice, is a standout appellate and regulatory litigator, while Jeff Gordon handles white-collar matters and government enforcement actions. Additional key practitioners include LA-based Cassie Seto and David Marroso.

  • ‘They absorbed our business model like a sponge, often knowing us better than we know ourselves. Standout attorneys I worked with included Jeff Gordon.’
