Steve Segal is a Partner in Buchalter’s Denver office, Chair of the firm’s Corporate Practice in Denver, and Co-Chair of the firm-wide Technology Practice Group. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity financings, fund formation, and complex commercial and technology transactions.

Steve represents start-ups, emerging growth companies, and mature businesses throughout their life cycle — from formation and financing through strategic exits. He also advises venture capital funds, private equity sponsors, strategic investors, and high-net-worth individuals. His clients span a wide range of industries, including technology, Internet and telecommunications, healthcare, food and beverage, consumer products, business services, media and entertainment, financial services, and manufacturing and distribution.

Steve serves as outside general counsel and strategic advisor to many of his clients. In that role, he counsels on entity structuring, capital formation, corporate governance, transaction strategy, securities law compliance, commercial agreements, equity compensation, and day-to-day legal matters
