Career
Judge Platt’s practice focuses on representing local, regional and national commercial clients in their real estate endeavors and business ventures. He has assisted clients on a variety of development projects, ranging from land assemblage and entitlement to municipal partnerships and economic incentive acquisition, as well as related debt and equity structuring and financing. He has structured acquisitions and dispositions for a variety of real estate assets, including raw land, retail, office, industrial, and multi-family assets.
Judge assists clients on a diverse portfolio of office, retail and industrial leasing issues, including strip-center and mall retail leasing, garden, mid-level and high-rise office leasing, and industrial leasing from single-tenant parcels to large multi-tenant industrial parks. He works with clients on structuring distressed-debt acquisitions, debt restructuring, and the formation of deal-specific entities. He advises clients on related business matters including asset management, the purchase and sale of business interests, commercial contract disputes, service agreements, and negotiation and dispute resolution between and among developers and municipalities, employers and contractors/employees, investors, general contractors and subcontractors, and landlords and tenants.
