Schwegmann represents litigation trustees, bankruptcy trustees, distressed corporations, and investors in high stakes matters across state and federal courts, including before the U.S. Supreme Court. Focused almost exclusively on the plaintiff side, Schwegmann secured a landmark Seventh Circuit victory ruling on the scope of §546(e) of the Bankruptcy Code, later affirmed by the U.S. Supreme Court in Merit Management Group v. FTI Consulting.
