Gregory Schwegmann, a partner at Reid Collins & Tsai LLP since its inception, is a seasoned financial litigator specializing in complex commercial disputes involving financial fraud, securities matters, and fiduciary misconduct. Schwegmann represents litigation trustees, bankruptcy trustees, distressed corporations, and investors in high stakes matters across state and federal courts, including before the U.S. Supreme Court. Focused almost exclusively on the plaintiff side, Schwegmann secured a landmark Seventh Circuit victory ruling on the scope of §546(e) of the Bankruptcy Code, later affirmed by the U.S. Supreme Court in Merit Management Group v. FTI Consulting. Most recently, Schwegmann has been lead counsel in multiple derivative suits against AT&T, alleging breaches of fiduciary duty and unjust enrichment related to the misuse of control over regional cellular partnerships.
