Career

Yasemin Kenaroglu is a qualified lawyer (Istanbul Bar Association, 2003) and trademark and patent attorney (Turkish PTO, 2005).

In 2008, Yasemin took a significant step in her career by establishing Kenaroglu Avukatlık Bürosu. Since then, her leadership and visionary approach have played a pivotal role in Kenaroğlu’s growth and reputation as a go-to destination for top-tier IP services. Her leadership not only sets high standards in legal expertise but also serves as a compelling example for promoting inclusivity in legal world.

She is broadly recognized by WTR 1000, The Legal 500, IAM 1000, Managing IP, Top 250 Women in IP and WTR Global Leaders for many years and awarded by Managing IP as the Practitioner of the Year for Türkiye in 2023.

Yasemin’s practice covers all aspects of IP Law with a special focus on representing right holders in pre-litigation strategies, managing settlement negotiations, representing civil and criminal litigation cases at every stage and managing large-scale IP portfolios. She is also highly adept at managing market investigations and implementing robust brand protection strategies.

She also offers strategic consultancy services to domestic and international companies for effective protection and management of their IP portfolios across MENA region.

As a result of her determination to give back to IP community, Yasemin launched The Online IP School in 2021 as a pro-bono initiative designed for law-school students to train them in the basics of IP law. It has had over 600 students so far and continues to grow with new lecturers and participants in every new term. In November 2024, IP School marked the completion of its fifth term with an in-person closing seminar and an impressive roster of guest speakers. Through this program, Yasemin and her team dedicates its time and expertise to inspire the next generation, fostering interest in IP law and supporting the profession’s future.

Yasemin also contributes to reputable publications, providing in-depth insights and analysis on current issues shaping the IP landscape.
