Career

Ramon joined Ramón y Cajal in 1999. He is currently Partner of the Litigation Department and he is very active in different practice areas such as the civil and commercial law, arbitration and insolvency. Within the different sectors of activity which brings together the most of his work are, among others, telecommunications, aerospace and construction, providing advice to major multinational companies with interests in Spain, dedicated to each of those sectors. In the field of insolvency law, Ramón acts as insolvency receiver and also provides ongoing advice to the company itself in competition or significant creditors seeking to defend their interests in the process through specific measures. Ramon is also involved in matters pertaining to civil and commercial procedural law. In this regard include its dedication to challenging issues on social agreements, directors' liability actions, procedures related to banking contracts (swaps, structured bonds, etc) and in general all those which have a direct or indirect relationship with the corporate law. As regards arbitration, Ramón acts as counsel at all National Arbitration Courts and in the International Chambers of Commerce (ICC). In addition, acts as an arbitrator for the Superior Council of Chambers of Commerce. He teaches at the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE) and he is also professor of bankruptcy law with in Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and Universidad Nebrija.
