Work highlights

Acted in an employer’s liability personal injury claim brought by the claimant who sustained a severe fracture to the left hip and shoulder after tripping over boxes that had been left behind the counter by a colleague at her place of work in a busy petrol station garage. The claim settled for £100,000.
Acted in a road traffic accident claim in which the claimant was hit from their pushbike by a van that came out of a junction without first checking. The claimant was a self-employed builder and was also carrying out a home renovation on their own property. Due to the shoulder injuries sustained they were no longer able to lift heavy objects above their head and, as such, had to employ external assistance to do so. The claim settled for £115,000.
