A popular destination for leading domestic and international corporates and financial institutions, Cuatrecasas handles the full spectrum of tax work, spanning high-value transactional support and disputes before both administrative bodies and the courts. The department is under the direction of Serena Cabrita Neto, whose practice is centred on contentious tax and cross-border transactions, with a special emphasis on the energy, industrial and financial sectors. Tax controversy and tax audit are key areas of focus for Pedro Vidal Matos, who is skilled in international and EU tax law. On the transactional front, Gonçalo Bastos Lopes advises on the tax structuring of M&A, reorganisations, financings, and capital markets deals, while corporate income tax advisory work sits within the remit of Ana Helena Farinha. José Maria Cabral Sacadura is another name to note for transactional tax matters, international tax and transfer pricing.
