Career
Joanne advises on all aspects of employment law and is a trusted business adviser to major clients across diverse industry sectors, including financial services. She has extensive experience in dealing with the employment law aspects of corporate and commercial transactions and is an experienced Employment Tribunal advocate, dealing with complex and high-value claims. Jo also has an interest in industrial relations law.
Joanne is well known for advising both employers and executives in relation to executive terminations and settlement agreements providing strategic advice including in relation to complex incentive arrangements, post termination restrictions and reputational issues.
Jo has worked as an employment law specialist for over 30 years at a number of leading commercial firms. She joined Myerson from Eversheds in 2009, was promoted to partner in 2013 and is proud to be part of the ten strong Employment team at Myerson, described as “excellent” in the Legal 500.
Education
Jo qualified as a solicitor in 1994 after gaining her Law Degree from the University of Leeds. She completed her training contract at Gordons LLP and worked at different commercial firms before joining our firm in 2009. She became a partner in 2013.
