The ‘highly responsive and pragmatic’ team at Arendt & Medernach provides ’solutions-oriented’ advice for international and domestic clients across the gamut of corporate advisory, compliance, transactional and litigation mandates. Many of these are within the asset management sector, an area in which Thierry Lesage excels, both on the upstream and downstream transactional front, blending strong local knowledge with an international mindset, including for real estate and private equity funds. Combining academic rigour with a commercial approach, team head Jan Neugebauer provides ‘very practical’ advice to clients in the funds space, as well as compliance guidance to financial institutions, including on international information exchange regulations. The ’smart, astute and resourceful’ Vincent Mahler heads up the Paris desk and regularly handles real estate and private equity-related tax structuring with a French nexus. The ‘exceptional’ Alain Goebel is the main contact for transfer pricing matters, and Bruno Gasparotto takes the lead on the VAT front.
