Work highlights

Advised Docklands Light Railway Limited (DLRL) and Transport for London (TfL)on a new eight-year contract with KeolisAmey for the operation and maintenance of the Docklands Light Railway (DLR).

Advised Hitachi Rail on a ten year contract with FirstGroup and Angel Trains to supply 14 new five-car Hitachi electric and bi-mode trains, with the capability to convert to battery electric trains, at a cost of c.£500 million including maintenance.
Advised HS2 Limited on the structuring, development and finalisation of the ground breaking new Rail Systems Alliance arrangements for nine separate rail systems package contractors to be appointed by HS2 Limited in relation to the HS2 project. This process had to be undertaken against a demanding timetable and pass through a multi-tiered governance arrangement involving not only internal HS2 review and assurance processes but also significant scrutiny from DfT, the IPA and HM Treasury. The project is valued at over £3 billion.
