Hema is a partner and the head of private real estate with over 23 years’ extensive experience advising on all aspects of high-net-worth residential property. This includes high value residential conveyancing, addressing any tax structure requirements via the expertise of the firm’s private wealth team, advising overseas and non-resident clients, dealing with the sale and purchase of all types of residential property and managing investment portfolios (this has included a recently completed complicated refinance of 332 properties – the largest portfolio held by an individual).
Hema is a specialist (and recipient of several awards) in the niche areas of enfranchisement advising on the 1993 Act and 1967 Act in respect of houses, flats, purpose built blocks and converted buildings; RTM and rights of refusal.
Hema is noted as a ‘Leading Individual’ in the Legal 500 and was the residential expert for City AM newspaper for 3 years.
Hema regularly comments in The Times, Sunday Times, The Financial Times, and The Law Society Gazette on the latest residential property issues.
