Counting investment funds and asset managers among its client roster, Fladgate LLP is geared to support on a range of property disputes arising from the acquisition, development, and management of commercial real estate. Adam Gross oversees the practice, acting for high-net-worth individuals and private investors on development mandates, while Michael Metliss is at the helm of a range of disputes relating to business lease renewals, tenant insolvency and development. The team has expanded with the hires of Richard Evans, Kelly Seal, and Liam Bell from Memery Crystal in February 2025.

There’s strong partner involvement, and they’re good at cutting through complexity and focusing on what matters to the client.’

  • ‘Adam Gross is exceptional. He combines sharp legal analysis with clear, strategic thinking and a calm, measured approach that instills confidence, even in high-pressure situations. He’s brilliant at seeing the bigger picture without losing sight of the details, and he’s particularly good at navigating complex, high-stakes disputes with both legal precision and commercial awareness.’

  • ‘Liam Bell has substantial experience in matters relating to the residential development industry and in negotiations of a delicate nature.’

  • ‘Armel Elaudais - charming litigator. Commercial sense. Seeks to find the client an off-ramp whilst being ready to fight. The sort of solicitor you want to be in a foxhole with.’
