Burges Salmon LLP has a large and dedicated private wealth practice, which is vastly experienced in working on complicated, cross-jurisdictional matters for individuals and trusts. Under the joint leadership of Suzanna Harvey and Jim Aveline, the ‘client centric’ team has developed a strong track record of working on the restructuring of complex trusts and other asset holding structures, both in the UK and overseas. Aveline has a particular focus on advising on family businesses, succession issues and on structures for holding wealth. John Barnett is another key figure in the practice who is both a tax solicitor and a Chartered Tax Adviser.
