Representing the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine which is intervening in a Supreme Court appeal, specifically in relation to an issue on the scope of reporting restrictions orders, the outcome of which is likely to have a significant effect on future practice in the Court of Protection.
Represented University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust in an application to move a patient who had failed to understand, acknowledge or take medical advice on her prognosis, to a palliative care treatment plan which included the withdrawal of life-saving dialysis.
