Mark Fennessy is the co-head of the London Transactions Group, and the London Finance, Restructuring and Special Situations Group. He focuses his practice on contentious and non-contentious restructuring and insolvency matters. He has particular experience in multifaceted group collapses and global insolvency issues. He has been involved in a number of high-profile assignments for banks, funds and various strategic parties. Mark leads a team with unrivalled expertise in special situations, including in relation to assets facing significant and complex governance and financial challenges.

Representing Kroll Trustee Services Limited as a stakeholder in the landmark restructuring of Thames Water’s £16bn debt structure, which included the first creditor-led competing restructuring plan.
Advising Global Loan Agency Services as security agent in the complex restructuring of the Four Seasons Health Care Group, including its £100m term facility and over €500m in bond debt, as well as the ongoing care home asset disposal plan led by the administrators.
Advising GLAS Trust Corporation Limited on the €400m restructuring of debt issued by VIC Properties to finance three real estate developments in Portugal.
