Under the leadership of the vastly experienced Patrick Corr, Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath has, since the London team was established in 2020, developed a strong offering for corporates and funds, in particular, on cross-border strategic opportunities and situations throughout the distress curve. On the debtor front, much of the work flows from the firm’s US base for firmwide institutional health and life sciences companies on balance sheet restructurings to help manage exposure to product liability claims. On the investor/creditor side, the real estate sector is a very fertile source of work, with Gary Bellingham and Buvini Kularatne both particularly skilled at realising value for funds investing in distressed assets in the space.
