With ‘very experienced counsel at all levels able to cover every area of immigration law’, One Pump Court is particularly adept at handling cases involving gender-based persecution, trafficking, immigration detention and asylum claims based on sexual orientation and gender identity. David Chirico KC acted in SSHD v Kolicaj before the Court of Appeal, successfully representing an Albanian-British dual national following a Home Office decision to deprive him of his citizenship, whereby the court concluded that the Home Office’s approach was procedurally unfair. Emma Daykin is highlighted for her work in numerous cases involving the Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy, including high-profile claims involving former members of the Afghan Special Forces units known as the ’Triples’, whose applications for relocation were allegedly vetoed by the SAS. Other key practitioners in the set are Justine Fisher and Daniel Grutters, who both leverage extensive experience in immigration detention cases.
