The launch of a Sao Paulo office in 2024 has given it even further impetus, while the firm’s corporate work has increased markedly in Mexico. It has continued to develop its standing in multiple jurisdictions, including in Colombia and in energy and infrastructure transactions in Chile. The team has a background in representing Latin America’s large family groups, but now advises a wider range of clients, including large Brazilian corporates, US-based financial institutions and significant private equity funds. Yosbel Ibarra co-heads the Miami office and has an extensive record in representing Latin American family offices. Antonio Peña is co-head of the Latin America group and an experienced figure in headline M&A and private equity transactions in the region, including in Mexico, Colombia and Chile. Arnaldo Rego, Carol Barnhart, Henry Roque and Geiza Vargas-Vargas are also key members of the Latin America corporate team. All named individuals are based in Miami.
