Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP continues to develop its standing in venture capital and growth company transactions in Brazil, Mexico and across Latin America. It remains especially active in representing venture capital funds, such as RX Ventures and Syngenta Group Ventures, in their investments in Brazil. It is widely recognised for seed financings, and Series A and Series B financings for emerging companies. Cross border M&A and corporate restructurings are also important elements of the Latin America practice. Dual qualified in New York and Brazil, Leandro Molina is co-head of the Latin America group, splits his time between New York and Miami, and is a prominent figure in advising start-ups, emerging companies and venture capital funds. Miami-based partner John Haley is also co-head of the Latin America team, and has an extensive record in M&A and fundraisings in the energy, infrastructure and technology sectors. In New York, Caio Prado is licensed to practice in New York and Brazil, and also specialises in venture capital and growth company work in Brazil, along with M&A and corporate transactions across Latin America. Miami associate Rebecca Lester is another key member of the team, noted for fintech transactions and fintech funds.
