Vedder Price hired native Spanish speaker Daniel Alonso from Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP into its government investigations and white collar defence group in April 2025; he has taken up the position of co-chair of Latin America investigations and litigation. A former senior federal and New York state prosecutor, Alonso now specialises in white-collar defence, internal investigations, corporate compliance and ethics; he represents both corporates and individuals, including multinationals and Latin American businesses. Much of his practice centres on Argentina, Mexico, Peru and Costa Rica, often involving multinationals with a Latin American subsidiary or private equity funds with Latin American assets.
