Ashurst’s team advises on a broad range of structured finance and debt capital markets work, including securitisations, bond issuances, and the structuring and execution of distressed financing transactions. The firm also handles acquisitions and disposals of receivables, including those involving NPL and UTP portfolios. The practice is led by Annalisa Santini, who is regularly instructed on bond issues and trade receivable transactions, acting for a diverse client base that includes domestic and international banks, investment funds, financial institutions, and corporates.

Work highlights

Advised Phoenix Asset Management S.p.A on the structuring and implementation of a large real estate securitisation transaction in Italy for the purchase from Banco BPM of around €300 million Real Estate portfolio.
Advised Banca Finint in all its roles in the context of a bond issuance to fund the acquisition from Assist Digital S.p.A., a company controlled by the private equity fund Ardian, of a majority stake in Hyntelo S.r.l., a technology company.
