Career
Saloni is a part of the firm’s real estate practice group. She is also a member of the firm’s banking and finance, corporate commercial and M&A practice group. Her broad areas of expertise are equity and financing transactions in real estate and allied sectors including investments in residential / commercial projects, affordable housing projects, retail, townships, SEZs, information technology parks, etc.
She has advised various offshore and domestic funds as well as Indian companies on private equity, M&A, disposals, demergers, joint ventures, restructurings, corporate governance and regulatory compliance, with particular focus on FDI transactions in real estate, infrastructure, hospitality and allied sectors. Her practice is also focused on all forms of debt / mezzanine funding.
She actively advises clients on formulating, negotiating and implementing structures for private equity and financing transactions and strategic investments in real estate and allied sectors from a legal and regulatory perspective. She works closely with the portfolio companies after the initial investment throughout the lifetime of the investment, advising them on a broad range of mandates.
She graduated from the Government Law College, Mumbai in 2010.
She has been recognized as a Next Generation Partner – Real Estate and Construction in the 2020 and 2021 rankings published by Legal 500 Asia Pacific. She has also been recognized as a “40 under 40 Rising Star 2020” by Legal Era (India’s leading magazine on business and legal world).
