CMS advises on domestic and cross-border mid- and large-cap transactions and supports German, European and American PE houses and funds. The team covers acquisitions, exits, buy-and-build strategies and secondary transactions. The team is jointly led by Igor Stenzel, who advises on cross-border PE transactions with a particular focus on advising Polish investors, and Jessica Mohaupt-Schneider, who specialises in transaction support across the technology, automotive and financial services sectors. The practice strengthened its competencies with the partner appointments of Frederike Volkmann (M&A and VC transactions) and Laura Christin Stein (PE and joint venture transactions) in January 2024, as well as the additions of Peter Polke (cross-border PE transactions for PE funds and institutional investors) and Markus Herz (PE and M&A transactions) from King & Wood Mallesons.
