The well-regarded team at Taylor Wessing represents clients before all national courts in patent matters and before the German and European Patent Office in opposition proceedings. A core strength is the group’s vast technical know-how within the life sciences and telecoms sectors. Gisbert Hohagen oversees the firm’s German patent technology and life sciences practice group. Practitioners regularly appear before the UPC, and the team also has a robust track record in pan-European patent litigation. Christian Lederer, Dietrich Kamlah, Anja Lunze, Michael Schächinger and Jan Phillip Rektorschek left the firm in late 2025 as part of the founding of PENTARC.
