DLA Piper is capable of advising publicly listed companies, their boards, and investors on the full gamut of corporate law issues, including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, complex reorganisations, public takeovers, and related disputes. The department is led by Benjamin Parameswaran, who deals with a multitude of reorganisations, joint ventures, and corporate governance matters, and Andreas Füchsel, whose practice encompasses M&A and capital markets deals. The team recently welcomed corporate and M&A specialist Sebastian Goslar, who arrived from Linklaters in January 2025, and celebrated the promotions of Hanna Lütkens, Christoph Dachner and Till Burmeister.

Work highlights

Advised VARTA in all legal areas in the preparation and implementation of its restructuring proceedings under the Corporate Stabilisation and Restructuring Act and the onboarding of new investors.
Advised Daimler Truck on establishing a joint venture with the Volvo Group to develop a common software-defined vehicle platform and a dedicated truck operating system that will form the basis for future software-defined commercial vehicles.
Advised the Meridian Foundation as a founding shareholder and largest minority shareholder of Metro on a shareholders' agreement with EP Global Commerce (EPGC), which will take effect upon completion of EPGC's intended delisting of Metro.
