Darío is a Partner in the Merger & Acquisitions (M&A) practice area.
Career
Darío has extensive experience advising national and international companies on Mergers and Acquisitions as well as across a wide variety of sectors in cross-border and multijurisdictional transactions.
He also provides advice on corporate matters, corporate governance, and complex commercial transactions. He is a key ally for the private equity and venture capital sector, and has participated in transactions exceeding US$15 billion in the last 20 years.
He is recognized as a leading M&A lawyer by several publications and as one of the most active in his practice according to Transactional Track Record (TTR) reports. Prior to joining the firm, he was a partner at one of the most prestigious firms in the country and previously he worked at a major law firm in New York.
Currently, he teaches Corporations Law at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and M&A at such university corporations law graduate program. He has been an adjunct professor and lecturer at Universidad de la Sabana and Universidad de los Andes master's degree and continuing education programs.
He is admitted to practice in Colombia and in the state of New York in the United States.
