
Baker McKenzie FenXun‘s practice is sought out by tech multinationals and international corporations to navigate complex data privacy and cybersecurity laws. The team’s wide-ranging practice encompasses cross-border transfers, cyber crime and multijuridictional litigation, jointly led by Shanghai-based Zhenyu Ruan, as well as Isabella Liu and Lex Kuo, who are based in Hong Kong. Ryan advises on a wide array of data privacy, regulatory and cybersecurity matters for financial institutions, retail and fashion multinationals. Liu handles a full scope of IP and data-related matters, while Kuo advises technology companies on data compliance and security issues. Former co-head Gary Seib left the firm in June 2025.
