In the associate pool, senior Eduardo Vilches focuses on technology contracting, e-commerce, licensing, software, and personal data and information security; while José Pablo Lapostol's workload covers technology, privacy and cybersecurity work. Former senior Gabriel Pensa left the firm in October 2025.

Career

Eduardo is a senior associate of our firm since 2022. He has focused his professional practice in matters related to technology, cybersecurity, and privacy. He has been especially dedicated to technology contracting, negotiation and advice in processes of development, licensing, implementation and maintenance of software, privacy, personal data and information security, e-commerce, and, in general, matters related to new technologies and intellectual and industrial property.

Previously, he worked as a researcher at the Center for Studies in Computer Law at the University of Chile, and was a lawyer in the Studies Division of the Ministry of the Interior and Public Security of Chile. Among other achievements, he was part of the team that developed the First National Cybersecurity Policy and Chile’s accession to the Budapest Convention on Cybercrime.
