Baker McKenzie Chile’s public law practice offers expertise in constitutional, administrative and human rights law. The department advises clients such as insurance brokers and pension fund managers from across a broad range of highly-regulated sectors, including healthcare, insurance, infrastructure and construction. The team frequently carries out work on investment protection, public procurement and concessions; it also has experience representing clients in contentious matters, often involving pension funds, healthcare litigation and consumer law disputes. With some 20 years experience in public law and litigation, Rodrigo Díaz de Valdés is head of the firm’s dispute resolution in practice Chile and for Latin America a a whole. He is assisted by associate Felipe Soza, who is developing a specialisation in public works concession agreements, along with broader expertise in constitutional litigation and administrative sanctioning procedures.
