A/C/R Legal is rapidly emerging as a key player in Chile’s projects and infrastructure sector since its founding in April 2024. Established by three former CMS partners, the firm was created with a clear focus on M&A, infrastructure and project development – particularly in the energy and mining industries. The firm has played a crucial role in some of Chile’s largest and most significant transactions, including the sale of ENAMI’s stake in Quebrada Blanca to Codelco, and Enlight’s acquisition of La Huayca Solar Pack. The team has also been instrumental in advising on cutting-edge renewable energy projects, including the sale by Verano Energy of its flagship green ammonia project. The practice also continues to support major infrastructure clients, including Manuchar, on complex regulatory and transactional matters. Luis Felipe Arze is a recognised leader in the sector, with over two decades’ experience advising on energy and infrastructure transactions. Fernando de Cárcer brings extensive experience in public and private infrastructure tenders, agribusiness, and renewable energy projects, advising on all aspects from rights consolidation to long-term project exploitation. Sebastián Barros is widely regarded for his expertise in M&A and project finance, having led some of the firm’s most high-profile transactions.

Testimonials

Collated independently by Legal 500 research team.

  • ‘It's a team that brings years of experience and knowledge of significant transactions in which they acted as advisors. They have a pro-deal mentality where, in adverse situations, rather than waiting to see what happens, they are proactive in seeking solutions that result in a favourable outcome for the transaction. As a relatively new firm, they have a mindset that breaks away from the traditional in terms of communication and appearance, adopting a less rigid attitude.'

  • ‘In my experience with Luis Felipe Arze, he has proven to be highly competent and possess specific knowledge of the energy and infrastructure industry. He goes beyond just knowing the law well or being a good negotiator; he understands quite specific technical matters, which allows him to stand out from other lawyers in the field. 10/10. I also have the highest opinion of Sebastián Barros both professionally and personally. He listens attentively, and when he speaks, he is constructive and accurate. He possesses speed without sacrificing quality. 8/10'

  • ‘ACR advised us on a complex M&A transaction over the course of a year and consistently demonstrated a high level of availability, proactivity, and clarity in their communication. What sets the team apart is its patient, solutions-oriented approach and strong alignment with in-house counsel needs - comparing very favourably with larger firms in terms of responsiveness, collaboration and practical execution.’

  • ‘ACR’s lawyers distinguish themselves by combining deep legal expertise with an exceptionally client-centric approach, ensuring that they are not only proactive and accessible but also thoroughly committed to delivering innovative, practical solutions. Notably, partner Luis Felipe Arze and associate Tomas Barros consistently exemplify these qualities through their creative problem-solving, exceptional communication and a collaborative mindset—qualities that consistently set them apart from their competitors.'
