The track record of widely-respected boutique firm Ugarte & Correa covers large-scale cases under various arbitration rules, such as the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), and United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL). The 10-strong arbitration team also acts in Santiago Arbitration and Mediation Centre (CAM Santiago) mandates, as well as ad hoc arbitrations; while its sector expertise ranges from energy, mining and construction, to finance, infrastructure and technology. The practice, which additionally handles shareholder and M&A disputes, showcases José Joaquín Ugarte, whose recent international arbitration experience includes mandates from US, Latin-American, European and Asian companies; and domestic and international arbitration, dispute resolution and litigation specialist Pablo Correa, who is a member of Santiago’s Court of Appeals’ arbitration roster. The senior bench is completed by energy disputes expert Karl Conrads, who acts before both national and international arbitral tribunals, and whose experience includes proceedings involving the Inter-American Court of Human Rights.
