Represented Maritime Employers Association in a bargaining unit review application brought by the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) at the Canadian Industrial Relations Board, following the mergers of two ILA locals at the Port of Hamilton.
Defended Bombardier against a union grievance seeking to base employees' retirement pensions on the higher maximum allowed under the tax act (C$3,420) rather than the existing pension plan's maximum (C$1,722).
Represented Canadian National Railway (CN) in a labour dispute with the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference (TCRC), defending an emergency ministerial direction requiring the cessation of strike and lockout activity and the resolution of disputes through mandatory interest arbitration.
