Benefitting on the firm’s global presence, the Ontario litigation team at Norton Rose Fulbright is well-placed to advise on multi-jurisdictional disputes. The group is co-led by two partners: James Renihan covers all aspects of commercial litigation, including employment disputes, real estate matters and franchise disputes, and Tate McLeod advises financial institutions, employers and insurers in contract and tort disputes. Orestes Pasparakis (cross-border and securities litigation) and Andrew McCoomb (crisis management and international commercial arbitration) are also noted. Erika Anschuetz was promoted to partner in January 2025, whilst Norton Rose Fulbright departed the firm in July 2024. All lawyers mentioned work in Toronto.

  • ‘NRF's team in Toronto has delivered exceptional work for us. After trying various firms, NRF has been the most responsive, provided the best work product and contributed the most to defining our legal strategy in the country. They have been flexible with billing to accommodate client preferences.’

  • ‘While we have been exposed to the great work from quite a few NRF partners and associates, Fahad Siddiqui's leadership stands out. He has gone above and beyond to meet our needs. He has studied issues of great complexity that were new to him and been able to provide very valuable advice in a compressed timeline.’

  • ‘In our view, the Norton Rose Special Situations team is the best legal team money can buy. It's comprised of a cross-section of experts that are nimble, react quickly, possess all the legal knowledge in one team, and deliver unrivalled results. The Norton Rose team will tick the exceptional box on any skill category or metric you put in front of their client.’

  • ‘Fahad Siddiqui is a top performer that stands-out based on the breadth of business, finance, and legal knowledge. You can give him any problem and he can solve it regardless how narrow or nuance it is, which is remarkable as many law firms often refer questions to a specialist. Fahad has an uncanny foresight that can generally predict where an outcome would rest so clients can determine the risk and reward of pursuing that path. Our firm feels Fahad can be one-stop for any legal questions. He brings in fresh perspectives and a dialogue where all the risks are discussed. We expect the best and Fahad exceeds our expectations.’
