Helen practices immigration law with a focus on business immigration for corporate clients and businesses in Canada, the United States and worldwide. She has extensive experience in all categories of work permit applications and she works closely with clients to provide strategic advice to fulfill their specialized work force and labor shortage needs. Her past experience working as a corporate commercial lawyer has provided her with greater insight in understanding the needs of businesses and how to most effectively utilize the various foreign worker categories to meet those needs. She also advises business clients on the various options for permanent residence to Canada including provincial nomination programs, the Canadian Experience Class, the Federal Skilled Worker program and Family Class sponsorship applications. Immigration law is a constantly evolving area of law with frequent changes made to statutes and government policies to reflect the economic and labor environment in Canada. Helen believes it is important to keep clients updated on these developments in immigration law so that they can effectively plan for their immediate and future work force needs, while ensuring they stay compliant with immigration laws. Helen started practicing law in 2003 and was called to the bar in both British Columbia and Alberta. Prior to joining Dentons, she practiced in the areas of immigration law and corporate/commercial law at a boutique immigration law firm, a leading national law firm in Vancouver as well as a full service regional law firm in Edmonton. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association Immigration subsection and has organized and presented at immigration conferences in Vancouver. Helen Park is the co-editor of the “The Global Mobility Review" (www.globalmobilityreview.com) where she regularly provides key insights, commentary, analysis and news on moving business personnel around the world.

‘The team at Dentons consistently takes the time to understand both our business and our unique needs. Their approach is deeply personal; they immerse themselves in who we are and operate as though they are an extension of our internal team. On many occasions, I found myself forgetting they were an external firm, as they were so embedded in our challenges and committed to delivering thoughtful, tailored solutions that truly reflected our business context.’
‘Having dealt with a number of law forms over the years, this is the one firm that I can call and have confidence that they will understand the scale and scope of the issue I'm dealing with and be able to handle it without issue.’
'Henry Chang is extremely knowledgeable on immigration law. He tells me his honest opinion and that is exactly what I value above all else - I always know where things stand.'
