Mallesons has developed a wide-ranging real estate practice, advising across joint ventures, residential and retail developments, acquisitions, fund through deals, development rights issues, and equity and debt structuring. Leading the team in Melbourne, Simone Menz specialises in advising developers and investors on capital partnering and asset management activities. Both Chris Mitchell and Stuart Dixon-Smith are market authorities on large-scale residential developments and urban redevelopment programs. Mark Bayliss is a specialist private equity real estate practitioner, while Emily Masters regularly advises private investors, listed property trusts, developers and financiers on tenure assembly, funding and leasing arrangements. Jessica Wallis’ broad scope of work includes acquisitions and disposals, property investment, joint ventures and refinancing. The team was joined by Lizzie Knight, an expert in property capital transactions, from Mallesons in February 2025.
