Covering the entire scope of the project lifecycle, Mallesons is well regarded by both public and private sector clients, with the team advising governments, sponsors, contractors and financiers. The practice is jointly steered by infrastructure projects and construction heads Simone Menz, Mark Upfold, Scott Budd and Hamish Macpherson. In Sydney, Upfold is well known in the market for PPPs and complex financing transactions, while Macpherson advises on a wide array of disputes, from private arbitrations to expert determinations in the transport, energy and mining sectors. In Brisbane, Budd is a highly experienced litigator and also has expertise across the full range of ADR processes. Chris Mitchell is particularly impressive in advising on urban redevelopment programs, alliancing contracting and inter-governmental agreements, while Scott Watson has in-depth knowledge of insurance products used within the resources and construction sectors.
