Baker McKenzie

Baker McKenzie is home to a multi-skilled team which provides the likes of Shell, Proctor & Gamble, and Colgate with day-to-day environmental services. The team assists clients with securing mining permits and authorisations, advises on compliance and avoiding environmental harm, and defends clients against claims regarding environmental contamination or remediation works. The practice is co-led by seasoned litigator Santiago Maqueda, who represents large oil and tech companies in lawsuits regarding polluting activities and misleading environmental claims. Fellow co-head Ezequiel Artola is proficient in energy, mining, and infrastructure matters, as well as general commercial and regulatory issues.
