Roberto Crouzel

His practice areas include mergers & acquisitions, general advice, banks & financial institutions, debt restructuring, and project finance. He has ample experience in international transactions, as well as in advising companies of various industries, including financial services, telecommunications, and natural resources. He also has extensive experience in microfinance and family companies’ advice.

Roberto H. Crouzel is a partner at Beccar Varela, where he co-heads the Corporate and M&A Department. He is a member of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee. He joined the firm in 1984.

Roberto served as assistant professor of the Chair of Commercial Law at the Universidad de Buenos Aires between 1990 and 1995. In 2008, he has served as a visiting professor in the Latin-American Programme of Internal Practices at the Sturm College of Law, University of Denver.

He speaks Spanish and English.

He is a Director of the Colegio de Abogados de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires as well as a Counselor of its Pro Bono Commission and is a member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association, the International Bar Association (IBA), and the Committee of Lawyers specialized in Banking Issues.

Roberto obtained his Law degree from Universidad de Buenos Aires (1984). He has participated in a number of courses at the Universidad Católica Argentina, Universidad Austral, Harvard Business School University and the International Association of the Developing Right, among others. He worked as a foreign associate at Holme, Roberts & Owen (Denver, Colorado, USA, 1996).
