SEC Allows Public Advertising of Private Securities Offerings

On July 10, 2013, the SEC eliminated the ban on public advertising of private securities offerings. The SEC also adopted rules that prohibit "bad actors" from participating Rule 506 in offerings and that impose additional requirements on the issuers of Rule 506 offerings.
