At the risk of getting stomped, bitten, or kicked, I think
it is important to start 2014 off by putting the horse before the
cart. I apologize upfront for bursting the bubble of all those
souls who have spent the last couple years espousing that the
greatest issue facing law firms is their structure.
It is not about structure, it is about service!
Specifically, the issue is about not achieving the service value
proposition your clients want.
There are two truths about their service value proposition:
- Different clients buy different kinds of service. Therefore it
is critical your clients and the service value you offer are
aligned; and
- Client expectations when it comes to service values are
dynamic, not static. As your clients' sense of service values
change, so do their expectations. You can only stay ahead by moving
ahead!
