Remember the good old days when you knew the minimum wage off
the top of your head?! Even for us employment attorneys, those days
are gone (or maybe I'm just getting old). Now, even finding the
proper minimum wage on the internet has gotten complicated, with
different requirements in different cities scattered throughout the
state!
To date, employers in Berkeley, El Cerrito, Emeryville, Long
Beach, Los Angeles City and Unincorporated Los Angeles County,
Mountain View, Oakland, Palo Alto, Pasadena, Richmond, Sacramento,
San Francisco, San Jose, Santa Clara, Santa Monica and Sunnyvale
have some form of a wage ordinance they need to be up to speed on.
