The World Intellectual Property Organization ("WIPO") introduced WIPO PROOF on May 27, 2020. WIPO PROOF is a new online business service providing tamper-proof evidence that a digital content existed at a specific point in time and that it has not been altered since that specific time. WIPO PROOF helps creators safeguard their intellectual assets and prevent their misuse and misappropriation at every stage of development, regardless of whether they eventually become formal intellectual property rights as per the laws.

What's New

The WIPO's newly introduced service can be accessed from WIPO PROOF's website and creators can request a WIPO PROOF token for a specific digital file in order to utilize the service.
