In October 2025, the Iraqi Competition and Antitrust Council ("Council") issued a procedural guide titled "The Impact of Mergers and Restrictive Commercial Practices on Companies Operating in the Iraqi Market.

On 20 February 2025 the Saudi General Authority for Competition (GAC) and the Iraqi Competition and Antitrust Council (CAC) signed an MoU to promote cooperation competition law matters between the countries.

In February 2026, the Iraqi Competition and Antitrust Council (CAC) issued their Guideline on Mergers and Restrictive Commercial Practices.
